Festival Cancelled for 2020 while Fireworks Remain on July 4
At the Monday, June 15 Elk River City Council meeting, a decision was made to cancel the event planned for Saturday, July 4, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and concerns with large group gatherings. Fireworks will continue as planned at dusk on Independence Day. The fireworks will be launched from Elk River High School, and as we near that date we’ll provide tips on the best viewing areas as well as social distancing guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all spectators.
Elk RiverFest has become a yearly tradition in beautiful downtown Elk River. Main Street is the place to be with activities for the entire family! The little ones will like the activities in the kids’ area plus mini-golf, face painting and the opportunity to ‘’touch a truck!” Everyone will enjoy the games, vendor booths, demos, and a wide variety of food and drink options. Stay for the concert followed by an amazing fireworks show!
Elk RiverFest is a celebration of community, hosted by the City of Elk River and made possible by our generous sponsors. It is a free event, open to ALL ages. Bring your chairs, stay for the day. Rain or shine.
Adults won’t want to miss Sips on Main, a tasting area of the festival that offers unlimited samples from more than 20 beer and wine vendors for just $25 per person. Buy pre-sale Sips on Main tickets for just $20 and you’ll also take home a commemorative glass! Tickets available at City Hall, the Farmers Market, and at Northbound and Westbound Liquor Stores.
