General Election Information - November 6

Election Day Polling Location 1

Election Day is Tuesday, November 6 from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at your designated polling location. If you have not registered, you can register to vote before October 16 and save time on Election Day, however if you miss that deadline, good news -  Minnesota allows same-day voter registration. You can also vote early by mail or in person through Monday, November 5, even if you are not registered to vote at your current residence. In person early voting can be done at the following locations:

  • Elk River City Hall - 13065 Orono Parkway
    Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
    Saturday, October 27 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

  • Sherburne County Government Center - 13880 Business Center Drive Northwest, Elk River
    Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
    Saturday, October 27 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

**Please keep in mind, early voting at City Hall is for Elk River residents ONLY. Any Sherburne County resident can vote early at Sherburne County Government Center.**

Be prepared by viewing your ballot before heading to the polls. Click here to see what's on your ballot. Elk River voters will also decide how to invest in the repair and improvements of recreational facilities and outdoor amenities through a local option sales tax referendum, known as Active Elk River. The ballot question pertaining to sales tax referendum is available here.
