Adopt-a-Park is a collaborative volunteer program between volunteer(s) and Parks and Recreation that enables groups and individuals to assist in the general care and maintenance of neighborhood parks, green spaces, trails and athletic fields. Our mission is to create a strong sense of community through our parks and programs. Taking ownership in a city park shows citizens and visitors a sense of pride we have in our city.
Parks and Recreation welcomes many different organizations, including neighborhood associations, school groups, community groups, seniors, religious groups, businesses, youth groups and individuals to join our efforts to clean up and maintain our park system.
Parks and Recreation will provide:
- Trash bags
- Trash pokers
- Orange vests to use during cleaning
The volunteer(s) agree to read, understand and follow the Adopt-a-Park Safety and Clean Up Guidelines.
Parks and Recreation asks for a minimum of one-year commitment. This includes one spring and one fall cleanup. Parks are available on a first come, first served basis.
