Save the Date for August 1, 2023
Night to Unite is a nationwide annual event that offers residents a unique opportunity to get to know their neighbors, chat with local law enforcement officials, and ultimately build a safer community.
June - August | Orono Park and Oak Savanna Park
Sherburne County and Elk River Parks and Recreation partner together to bring Summer Story Strolls to multiple parks throughout the county. This series is part of the Great River Regional Library's Summer Reading Program.

Friday | October 27, 2023 | 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. | Downtown Elk River
Our Downtown Trick or Treat event is a great opportunity for kids ages 12 and under to dress up in their best Halloween costume and visit participating downtown Elk River businesses for some candy and treats. Families can stop along for a photo opportunity at Rivers Edge Commons Park as well.
Month of December
Each December residents are invited to submit their house to be added to our Holiday Lights Tour.

Come and experience the holiday season in Elk River! Santa in the Park and our annual tree lighting ceremony is an annual family event you don't want to miss. Stay tuned for more information.
Second Tuesday of the Month | November 13 - February 12 | 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. | Woodland Trails Regional Park
Join us for series of magical moonlit walks at Woodland Trails this winter. Enjoy the groomed walking trails while taking in the crisp winter air and watching for wildlife. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp for emergency use. Be sure to dress for the weather and wear proper winter walking shoes or boots. Look for the group in the parking lot of Woodland Trails located at 20135 Elk Lake Road NW. This is a free event with no pre-registration.
Held the third weekend in May, this is the opportunity for you to score some deals and meet your neighbor!
Households can register their sale online and be added to the Citywide Garage Sale map.
