Drug Task Force Unit

The Elk River Police Department has one full-time detective assigned to the Sherburne County Drug Task Force.

The main issue facing the drug task force is the rampant use of methamphetamine, marijuana, and most recently heroin. The abuse and sale of pharmaceuticals is also on the rise. The assigned Drug Task Force detective works cooperatively with the investigators from the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office and Princeton Police Department to combat drug crimes in the area.
