In November 2016 the Elk River City Council approved the Hillside City Park Master Plan.
The Parks and Recreation Commission in conjunction with MORC and city staff have also designed a multi-use trail system that includes a paved trail for walkers in the overall design.
Trail users can expect to see improvements and trail realignment beginning as early as fall 2016, with work phased in over the next several years. Special attention and effort will be made to capitalize and highlight the unique landscape, topography and trail experience users have come to know and love at Hillside City Park.
Hillside Trail work nights are on Mondays at 6 p.m. Anyone interested working with MORC can contact the group at www.morcmtb.org.
Check out the Hillside City Park Facebook page for current updates and trail conditions.
